VSMitra™ collects basic information needed to operate the marketplace, such as name, email, mobile number, VSMitra profile details, ad details, images, location/area selection and support messages.

Information we collect

• Account details such as name, email and mobile number.
• VSMitra profile details such as business name, contact person and WhatsApp number.
• Ad listing details such as title, description, price, category, area and images.
• Support/contact messages submitted through the Contact page.
• Basic technical data such as IP address and browser user agent for security and support.

How we use data

• To create and manage user accounts and listing profiles.
• To publish, moderate, search and display ads.
• To help signed-in users contact listing owners.
• To prevent spam, fake listings and misuse.
• To provide customer support and platform updates.

Data sharing

We do not sell user data. Listing-owner contact information may be displayed or used for buyer contact only according to VSMitra profile/ad settings and platform rules.

Security

We use authentication, authorization, validation and marketplace moderation controls. However, no internet platform can guarantee 100% security.

Consent and cookies

VSMitra™ uses essential cookies for secure sign-in, anti-forgery protection, session continuity and first-visit preference recording. Registration records the accepted Terms/Privacy version and consent for required OTP and transactional messaging. Optional promotional consent is stored separately and is not required to create an account.

WhatsApp, SMS and email messages

Verified contact channels may be used for OTPs, account verification, password or email security, payment status, listing moderation, buyer-contact activity, support and safety updates. Promotional communications are optional and should be sent only when that separate preference is accepted.

Current-location search

When you explicitly choose Use my current location, your browser asks for permission and sends the current coordinates needed to calculate nearby ad results. VSMitra™ does not save those buyer coordinates to your account, an ad, or a marketplace database table. You can deny permission or turn off nearby search and continue using normal filters.

Location and safety reports

VSMitra™ stores the location selected for an ad. Public ad pages may show an approximate map marker to reduce unnecessary exposure of a listing owner’s precise location. Reports submitted about ads are used for safety review and moderation.
